A man went hiking on a trail near Baiji Tunnel in Daxi District on the afternoon of the 22nd. He got lost after misreading the signs and kept wandering in the mountains without finding anyone else to ask for directions. Worried about being stranded, he called the police to report the situation.
The Daxi River Prevention Squad arrived at the scene and found that the man was already on Section 1 of Sanmin Road in Fuxing District, back on flat ground. He told the firefighters that after reporting the incident, he followed the address and asked locals for directions. He successfully navigated using the pole numbers on utility poles as markers and managed to find his way out. He expressed gratitude for the joint assistance from the police and firefighters.
