Hikers heading to Keelung’s Tai’an Waterfall this morning noticed something unusual about a silver SUV parked at Jiangziliao. Inside, a man was lying unconscious on the flattened driver’s seat, while a charcoal burner sat in the front passenger seat.
Police and firefighters responded to the scene and confirmed that the man, estimated to be in his 60s, had already passed away. A suicide note was found in the car, suggesting he took his own life due to prolonged illness. Authorities have notified the family based on the license plate and have referred the case to the prosecutor’s office for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
