Have you ever seen an A Cappella performance live? Without any instruments—every note comes purely from the performers’ voices, allowing the audience to experience the pure beauty of harmony. On Saturday, 3/26, the Taiwan Choral Music Center gathers 24 local A Cappella groups for a relay performance along Xiangdi Boulevard at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi in Xinyi District. Enjoy six continuous hours of amazing shows you won’t want to miss!

Zhu Yuanlei, the Popular Art Director of the Taiwan Choral Music Center, said: “Innovation, sharing, and service are the aims and goals of the center in promoting new choral works. Starting with choral music, we also invite the professional Ukrainian group ManSound to perform together, hoping to bring more surprises to the public.”

Besides the outdoor singing event on Xiangdi Boulevard on 3/26, there will also be masterclasses, concerts at CPC Corporation Taiwan’s Guoguang Hall, and 20 tour performances as part of the 2011 Spring Sing activities. Participating groups span three generations—young, middle-aged, and senior—with over 150 performers in total. The massive lineup includes not only creative and energetic university groups, but also junior high students from Erchong Junior High—the youngest average age under 13 in the country; the Double Chin Male Vocal Ensemble with an average age over 47; and the Ukrainian male vocal group ManSound—all performing together to make your holiday afternoon even more delightful.
