Latin flair sweeps through Macau！ The much-anticipated “Carnival 2011” will be held at Vitenque II starting April 15, where a wide array of South American delicacies, signature craft beers, and electrifying Latin music will get everyone in the mood, plus sizzling samba performances that let visitors experience the passion of Latin America right here in Macau—dance and revel to your heart’s content！

Carnival is a major festive event in Latin America, best known for its high spirits and dazzling costumes. The annual carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in March attracts hundreds of thousands of participants. MGM Macau’s Carnival will feature a 20-meter-long giant tent set up on the open lawn of Vitenque II, decorated with vibrant, carnival-themed ornaments that exude Latin flair. It will offer a selection of South American specialties such as spicy chicken wings with grilled pineapple, Brazilian sausages with chili cheese bread, braised beef brisket with fried cassava and satay kale, Spanish-style churros with chocolate sauce, various craft and bottled beers, Bacardi rum, and a range of tropical fruit cocktails—all sure to whet your appetite.

And the most essential element—music—is just as important. The event has specially invited the renowned Latin band SOTO from South America to perform live, bringing an infectious, high-octane beat that will energize the entire venue. Band SOTO enjoys great fame across the Americas, having collaborated with superstars like Whitney Houston and Ricky Martin. They were also the first Latin band to perform in Beijing. While you enjoy the pulsating Latin rhythms and sip your drinks, dazzling samba dancers will strut and twirl through the crowd, making you feel as if you’ve been transported to Latin America. The MGM Macau “Carnival 2011” will take place from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM nightly between April 15 and April 24 (excluding April 18 and 19). Admission is MOP 50 per person, with discounted group tickets available: MOP 250 per person for groups of 10 or more, and MOP 230 per person for groups of 20 or more. The packages include admission, MOP 250 in food vouchers, and priority seating.
