A hiker surnamed Lin took advantage of the weekend on the 26th to go for a walk at Yunshen Waterfall in Sanxia District, New Taipei City. However, he misjudged the distance and found himself on the descent after 7 PM, when visibility was near zero. Fearing for his safety and unsure how to get down, Lin called for help.
The officers from the Chajiao Police Precinct of the Sanxia Police Department, upon receiving the report, immediately joined forces with the firefighters to search the mountain area. The rescue path was difficult to navigate, with steep and treacherous mountain roads posing constant danger. In order to locate the lost hiker as quickly as possible, the rescuers conducted a painstaking, all-night grid search. At around 8 PM, they finally found Lin at the entrance to Yunshen Waterfall along the Zhongkeng Industrial Road and safely escorted him down the mountain.
After being rescued, the hiker surnamed Lin expressed deep gratitude for the tireless efforts of the officers from the Chajiao Police Precinct of the Sanxia Police Department and the firefighters from the Sanxia Fire Department.
