The 2020 Shanghai International Water Sports Exhibition will be held alongside the 2020 Shanghai International Boat Show and the grand 2020 Lifestyle Shanghai Show from March 31 to April 2, 2020, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This year’s event will utilize two official halls of the center — Hall 3 and Hall 4.1 — featuring a more rational layout and optimized visitor routes to facilitate an enhanced upgrade and development for the 2020 show.
The exhibition covers all major sectors including equipment, competitions, organizations, and training. With a focus on water leisure, it innovates traditional exhibition concepts by integrating multi-dimensional spaces and cross-industry exhibits. With 150+ experiential activities driving engagement, the show provides exhibitors with comprehensive display opportunities, features over 200 industry KOLs for close-up sharing, and allows more visitors to explore water culture and experience aquatic lifestyles. Currently, the Shanghai International Water Sports Exhibition has become a benchmark event in the industry and one of the most influential large-scale trade shows in China.
In 2019, the exhibition partnered with companies such as Chaoyang Marine, Weihai Haifei, KUER, and Sanlishi Hi-Tech, attracting over 600 premium exhibitors from 18 countries and regions. Over the four-day event, it drew more than 35,000 professional visitors from 85 countries and regions, marking a 35% year-on-year increase in onsite attendance.

A Massive 450-Square-Meter Pool Continues the Water Carnival Extravaganza
The 2019 Water Carnival featured over 20 unique water-based activities, becoming a major crowd magnet. Events such as the Youth Boat Ball Performance, Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga Trial, OJET Electric Aquatic Flight Vehicle Experience, Havill Wing Teaching & Trial, and Floating Mat Racing Challenge attracted nearly a thousand visitors over four days.
In 2020, organizers will build on the success of the Water Sports Carnival. In addition to traditional formats like forums, conferences, and business meetings, they will create a massive 450-square-meter indoor pool. Through a “scenario-based + experiential” model, the pool will serve as a stage for exhibitors to demonstrate new product features, enable industry leaders to exchange insights, and bring visitors closer to water sports. With KOLs showcasing techniques up close, professional coaches providing on-site instruction, and more, the event bridges the gap between theory and hands-on experience, breaking stereotypes about waterfront activities and introducing fresh trends that redefine conventional perceptions.
