Wu Ming-chi, Deputy Mayor of New Taipei City, said that ceramics are everywhere in daily life—from artistic creations and architectural materials to household utensils. Yingge is a hub of Taiwan’s ceramic industry, and this carnival aims to showcase the unique charm of Yingge ceramics through a variety of family-friendly events, fun-filled children's programs, and local performances. The goal is to promote the Yingge ceramic industry and culture, boost local brand visibility, and stimulate tourism and business opportunities.

According to the Department of Economic Development, the Yingge Parent-Child Ceramics Carnival has organized a series of engaging activities. Programs such as the Creative Craft Mini-Tours, Overnight Stays at the Museum of Ceramics, and the Hundred-Person Ocarina Parade sold out immediately after registration opened. The Creative Craft Mini-Tours feature specially curated visits to tourist factories and DIY workshops where participants can make local specialty products from the Sanyi, Yingge, and Shulin areas. Led by expert craftspeople and enhanced with tech-guided tours, these experiences offer children a unique holiday in Yingge. Meanwhile, the Overnight Stays at the Museum of Ceramics allow kids to spend the night inside the Yingge Ceramics Museum. Through guided tours, artisan performances, DIY activities, and ocarina music classes, children can gain a deeper appreciation for ceramic culture. Additionally, the Hundred-Person Ocarina Parade offers free ocarinas and lessons, and embraces the local flair of Yingge by adopting the “Parrot” as its costume theme, inviting both kids and adults to dress up with avian-inspired elements and join the festive parade.
