A man surnamed Zheng in New Taipei City went hiking alone on Section 3 of Xiwu Road in Xizhi on the afternoon of the 24th. However, he reportedly got lost due to unfamiliarity with the route and became stranded in the mountains. Fortunately, when the man shouted for help, nearby residents heard him and immediately called 110 to request police and firefighter assistance. A team of seven police and firefighters went up the mountain to search and successfully located the man surnamed Zheng around 7 p.m., safely guiding him down the mountain.
The 50-year-old man surnamed Zheng went hiking alone in the Xizhi mountain area on the afternoon of the 24th carrying light gear. But as it was already autumn and it gets dark around 5 or 6 p.m., coupled with his unfamiliarity with the terrain, he couldn’t find the way down the mountain. He quickly shouted for help, and fortunately, nearby residents heard him and immediately called 110 to report the incident.
Police received the report around 6 p.m. The head of the local police station, Chang Chia-cheng, who is familiar with the mountain terrain, led police officers Zeng Jun-jie and Chen Zi-wei up the mountain to search for the man. They successfully found the man surnamed Zheng around 7 p.m. and safely escorted him down the mountain.
