Passion, energy, international... Do you still remember the scenes of the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games in 2014? In 2019, it has been five years since the successful hosting of the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. As the second city in China to have successfully hosted Olympic events, Nanjing’s global sports influence has been growing with the continuous hosting of international events in recent years. According to the 2019 SPORTCAL Global Sports Cities Vitality Ranking, Nanjing ranked 11th in the world.
"The event economy is a flow economy, the sports industry is a sunrise industry that creates effective supply, and also a happiness industry that produces health and joy." With the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the Hangzhou Asian Games, more and more cities in China are introducing international events as an important way to enhance urban image and soft power. At the same time, hosting major international sports events is also a key pathway for cities to develop the event economy, grow the sports industry, and promote healthy lifestyles.
To this end, the First Nanjing World Sports Cities Development Summit (with the theme "Major International Sports Events and Urban Development") will be held from September 8 to 10 in Nanjing. It will invite domestic and international guests to share insights on how major international events drive and positively impact urban development, the marketing of sports events and urban brand promotion, and the integration of the happiness industry through culture, sports, health, and tourism. The summit aims to broadly facilitate international exchanges and dialogue among cities, achieving the goals of "gathering wisdom, pooling resources, and sharing achievements." Nanjing Ningfei, as the executive organizer of the summit, will gather resources from the industry, media, and other sectors to ensure the smooth running of the event.

Former Head of the Europe-Africa Division of the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanjing Municipal People's Government. Since 2009, involved in the bid process for the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. After the successful bid, served as Head of the IOC Liaison and Services Division. During the 2014 Youth Olympics, acted as Secretary-General of the IOC Hotel Team. In 2015, appointed as the Liaison Officer of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) in Beijing. From March 2016 to present, serves as the Representative of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in China. Appointed as FIBA China Director in 2018, coordinating preparations for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
