Located in Zhongli, the “Matsue New Village Military Dependents' Village Cultural and Creative Park” now hosts the “Matsuzhuang Market” on the first Saturday of every month, running from August this year through February next year. A total of seven Matsuzhuang Market events have gathered up to 60 vendor booths.

The Matsue New Village Military Dependents' Village Cultural and Creative Park is the second old military dependents' village in Taiwan to be preserved under the “Cultural Heritage Preservation Act,” following Taipei’s Sihzihnan Village. Its retro style and atmosphere have developed into a nostalgic hipster route, bringing together various brand booths to create a bustling Matsuzhuang Market full of handmade goods and food.
Both the market design and individual vendor booths are incredibly beautiful and full of atmosphere.
The market gathers as many as 60 vendor booths.
From August this year to February next year, the Matsuzhuang Market is held on a weekend each month, with seven consecutive markets, each built around a different central theme. These include the recently concluded “Matsuzhuang New Daily Life,” and upcoming themes such as Matsuzhuang Cultural Nest, Matsuzhuang Crazy Circus, Matsuzhuang Bachelor Party, Matsuzhuang Swap Meet, Matsuzhuang Spring Feast, and Matsuzhuang Homecoming Day. The booths feature hipster handmade goods and delicious food options, making it a fantastic place to explore.
