Taiwan Salt will co-fund the expedition with Taiwan Salt Green Energy Corporation. Gen Z mountaineers—Chang Yuan-chih and Lü Zhong-han—will challenge the climb of the world’s second-highest peak, K2, at an altitude of 8,611 meters, in June, setting an unprecedented record in Taiwan’s mountaineering history. Upon the climbers’ return, a hero dream-fulfillment lecture will be held at Qigu Salt Mountain in Tainan, where the climbers will share their stories of courage and dreams up close with the audience, inspiring the new generation to passionately pursue their aspirations.
