Chen Haiyin, a beautiful TV hostess, and her husband usually have busy work schedules and little time to spend with their daughter Yangyang. Last week, they participated in the 2019 new “China Southern Airlines Ziji Trip,” jointly launched by China Southern Airlines and Banyan Tree Yangshuo in Guilin. For most of the trip, the family enjoyed the various facilities and activities within the resort, engaging in the most intimate slow family travel.
There are many free activities at Banyan Tree, such as cycling, feeding fish, feeding peacocks, painting, paper folding, block puzzles, bubble activities, and hydrangea making. There are also evening sunset ceremonies, as well as paid activities like bamboo rafting, tai chi classes, scented candle making, African drumming, and helicopter tours. Staying at Banyan Tree means there’s no need to go anywhere else—the schedule is packed. In front of the resort lies the Li River and the karst hills, which present one stunning view after another—you don’t even need to go out searching for beauty.
Three-year-old Yangyang sleeps in until she naturally wakes up every day in the Banyan Tree villas. Breakfast isn’t cleared until 11 a.m., and if they miss it, Dad Yu (surname Yu) will pack breakfast for the mother and daughter. Lunch includes beer fish, bamboo tube beef steak, Guilin rice noodles, and specially made mashed potatoes or fries for Yangyang. Dinner features BBQ with various salads and desserts. The adults enjoy romantic evenings with red wine, but they must never say “ganbei” (cheers)—Yangyang will loudly shout “No, no!” and play the role of a little enforcer.
Chen Haiyin knows style well, and naturally, Yangyang is dressed like a little princess. With her mom’s training, she sweetly faces the camera. The lovely mother-daughter pair catch everyone’s eye wherever they go, and Yangyang is especially adored by their travel companions.
What excites Yangyang the most is riding on her mom’s pink motorcycle with a sunshade through the Ten-Mile Gallery, while her dad rides a bicycle behind as protection. They admire the Yulong River on the left and the fields of rapeseed flowers on the right, taking the most beautiful family photos and creating everlasting memories.
