As the slightly cool autumn days approach, stopping by the roadside to enjoy a steaming bowl of vermicelli noodles can instantly warm your heart. There’s a lot to know about vermicelli noodles, but the golden rule is that they shouldn’t stick together—and that’s where the magic lies. Though the shop isn’t large, it’s full of character. Its hipster-style signboard attracts many young people, making eating vermicelli noodles feel trendy. The menu offers four flavors: oyster, pork intestines, plain vermicelli, and mixed. The broth has a smooth, rich bonito base that’s well-balanced and light on the palate. The vermicelli truly doesn’t stick together, and the surface is topped with plenty of mashed garlic and cilantro to enhance the aroma. The bowls are specially designed—taller than typical paper ones—and the utensils are unique too. The menu even includes English and Japanese for the convenience of foreign tourists, showing the owner’s thoughtful attention to detail.
