Central Taiwan’s First “Roofed Night Market”: Taichung’s Dali Night Market Features Eye-Catching 5-Star Toilets

Taichung has a new night market again — the Dali International Sightseeing Night Market, which was officially launched at the end of May with a concept of a five-star night market. In addition to offering popular snacks from major night markets across northern, central, and southern Taiwan, it also features a 5-star restroom designed with Japanese Zen aesthetics and is being hailed as the first “roofed night market” in central Taiwan.

The Dali International Sightseeing Night Market stated that the night market covers an area of about 2,000 ping, with a leafy landscape covering the roof to create an urban jungle vibe — making it the first roofed night market in central Taiwan. The market houses a total of 350 stalls, including the famous orange duck and bao buns from the Donghai Night Market, devil chicken cutlets and Alishan Railway Black Tea from the Fengjia Night Market, egg-in-egg from the Raohe Street Night Market, and Kaohsiung Rueifong Chicken Rolls, all of which have set up shop here.

To provide visitors with a comfortable environment for “answering nature’s call,” the Dali Night Market has also created a 5-star restroom that blends modern design with Japanese Zen aesthetics, becoming another highlight of the night market.
