Getting travel information in Osaka just got more convenient for visitors from now on. A renowned Japanese travel agency has set up what is being called Japan’s largest visitor center on the 8th floor of OPA Department Store in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. In addition to luggage storage, travel information, and foreign currency exchange, you can also shop and enjoy simple meals here.

This Osaka Visitor Center, located inside OPA Department Store in Shinsaibashi, occupies the entire 8th floor of the building. Its decor combines traditional Japanese style with modern touches, and even the staff uniforms are in the form of Japanese yukata. The center offers services in five languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and Thai.

The service center operates under the concept of “meeting all travelers’ needs” and provides 11 different types of services, including:
1. Sale of transportation tickets (including Osaka Amazing Pass and Kansai Thru Pass (KTP))
2. Luggage storage, at 540 yen per piece for one day (one day is calculated based on the operating hours of the visitor center)
3. Access to travel information
4. Hotel reservations (assistance is also available for same-day bookings)
5. Booking tours in Osaka and Kyoto
6. Assistance with booking local restaurants
7. Free Wi-Fi internet service
8. SIM card sales
9. Portable Wi-Fi router rental
10. Overseas remittances
11. Foreign currency exchange (available currencies include US dollars, euros, Chinese yuan, South Korean won, New Taiwan dollars, and Hong Kong dollars)

In addition, the service center also houses seven retail shops, including a drugstore, an electronics store, and a local specialty products shop. It follows Japan’s tax exemption regulations, allowing travelers to enjoy shopping while seeking travel information.
