Free Flower-Viewing Bus in Tainan: Head Straight to the “Back Garden of Tainan” to Admire Blooming Lotus Flowers

As the annual Lotus Season in Tainan’s Baihe District arrives, the Tainan City Transportation Bureau has transformed the Da-Tainan Bus Yellow Line 15 Branch (黄15支线) into a dedicated flower-viewing bus. This allows travelers to leisurely explore the beautiful lotus fields and enjoy free rides with an electronic ticket.

The Tainan City Transportation Bureau stated that the Baihe area can be considered the famous back garden of Tainan City. From the kapok flower season starting in March to the lotus season in June, different times of the year showcase diverse natural landscapes, attracting visitors time and again. The Da-Tainan Bus Yellow Line 15 Branch is the flower-viewing bus that travels through this floral route.

The Transportation Bureau also noted that the Baihe Transfer Station has recently been completed, offering more comfortable waiting areas and comprehensive travel information. It serves both local residents and visitors who come from afar to admire the flowers, enjoy coffee in Dongshan, or soak in the hot springs of Guanziling. Additionally, passengers using electronic tickets on trunk or branch buses can enjoy a basic fare discount of NT$26 for the first 8 kilometers, and an extra NT$9 discount when transferring within 2 hours. The entire journey on the Yellow Line 15 to view the lotuses falls within the discounted mileage range, allowing passengers to enjoy the beautiful lotus fields completely free of charge.

1. Take the Yellow Trunk Line (黄干线) bus from the Xinying Bus Terminal in front of Xinying Railway Station to the Baihe Transfer Station, then transfer to the Yellow Line 15 Branch (黄15支线). You can get off at stops such as the North Station and South Station of the Lotus Viewing Avenue, the Lotus Information Pavilion, and the Lotus Park to admire the beautiful lotus fields.

2. Take the Yellow Line 10 Branch (黄10支线) bus from in front of Houpi Railway Station to the Baihe Transfer Station, then transfer to the Yellow Line 15 Branch (黄15支线). You can get off at stops such as the North Station and South Station of the Lotus Viewing Avenue, the Lotus Information Pavilion, and the Lotus Park to admire the beautiful lotus fields.
