Can you experience the thrill of a water park right in the city? Slide The City, which has gained huge popularity across the globe, is coming to Hong Kong as the second officially sanctioned urban water slide event in Asia after Japan. Making its Hong Kong debut, this massive 300-meter water slide will be set up at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal berth area and is scheduled to open during the summer holiday period — a great option for travelers planning a visit.

This massive 300-meter urban water slide event will take place from August 22 to 24, 2015 (Saturday to Monday) at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal berth area. The entire venue will feature a giant 1,000-ton water slide, divided into three lanes, allowing participants to enjoy the breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour while experiencing the thrill of sliding.

In addition to bringing fun, the organizers also aim to promote water conservation. Part of the event’s proceeds will be donated to impoverished areas to help build self-sustaining rainwater harvesting cisterns and rural ponds. The slide design has also been specially adapted to reduce water usage. To support environmental protection, the water used in the slide will be recycled appropriately after the event.
