Michelin-starred Chef Takes the Helm: Swiss International Air Lines Launches Mesa Restaurant In-flight Cuisine

Swiss International Air Lines announced that from June 3 to September 1, select cabin classes will feature in-flight meals from Zurich’s Mesa restaurant, which holds 17 GaultMillau points. At the end of June, special in-flight meals will also be introduced to celebrate the important Albani Festival.

Swiss International Air Lines stated that it will offer a series of dishes from Zurich’s Mesa restaurant in first and business class on long-haul flights departing from Switzerland. Mesa restaurant has accumulated a total of 17 GaultMillau points and is helmed by one-Michelin-star chef Antonio Colaianni as its executive chef. First-class passengers can enjoy dishes such as smoked sturgeon tartare with caramelized cauliflower mousse and sturgeon with citrus vinaigrette, while business-class passengers will be treated to in-flight meals including smoked duck and chicken breast with pistachio cream and couscous salad, as well as grilled beef shoulder with rosemary couscous.

On selected routes in business class from June 10 to June 23, in line with the Albani Festival held annually in late June in Winterthur, localized specialty dishes will be offered, such as asparagus salad with local prosciutto and beef skewers with local potatoes.
