30 Years of Heritage in Every Bite: Yilan's Honest Copper Coin Delicacies

This humble yet delicious eatery lives up to its name—truly simple, honest flavors. Though it’s just a small local spot, the dishes are lightly seasoned and incredibly tasty, making us instantly hooked!!! We’ve been coming here for nearly two years and often drop by whenever we can. It’s also a great place for friends or family who are vegetarian.

We discovered this place by chance—passing by often but usually overlooking its unassuming exterior.

The owner has their philosophy posted on the wall, and the last line is especially important: “Eat with peace of mind!!” Truly one of the most important messages of our time.

Despite being a small shop, it’s very clean, and they don’t use disposable bamboo chopsticks. The kitchen is at the back of the dining area, so there’s minimal cooking odor.

On recent visits, they’ve even had the air conditioning on—hey, that’s pretty important too.

Very reasonable prices.

Blanched greens.

Bupork rice—the highlight of this bowl is definitely the bupork. The texture of their bupork can easily rival famous restaurants. The side dishes in the bowl include cucumber, marinated egg, and dried tofu.

Breaded and deep-fried meat strips, but they’re refreshingly light and not greasy at all.

Bupork soup noodles—the thickened broth has the perfect consistency, neither too thick nor too thin, and the soup itself is excellent.

The noodles are your standard oil noodles.

Shrimp roll rice~

This shrimp roll reminded us of Tainan’s Zhou’s Shrimp Rolls—but those are truly unbeatable. This one isn’t bad either, though it has a bit more batter.

Overall, the performance is quite good, and the rice is excellent too—each grain is distinct, soft, and delicious.

This simple soup is also one of our must-orders every visit.

The ingredients are simple—just everyday home-style dishes!! But the flavors are natural and rich, and the whole bowl is only 25 NT.

If we can’t get enough of the bupork, we just order another plate!! This place offers truly simple yet delicious food, but what really attracts us is the care and thought put into the cooking.
