The "2015 Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival" will kick off this weekend on July 4. The organizer, Yilan County Cultural Affairs Bureau, recently announced that from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the 2nd (Thursday), the first to third water areas will be opened early for public experience. The bureau also stated that apart from these three water areas, the rest of the park remains closed, and urged the public not to approach any facilities, exhibition halls, or installation work zones.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Children's Fun Festival, hence the theme “Fly.” For the third time, internationally renowned designer Xiao Qingyang has been invited to design the festival’s visual identity. Lin Qiu-fang, director of Yilan County Cultural Affairs Bureau, said that starting from the 18th edition with the theme “Turn,” last year’s “Jump,” and this year’s “Fly,” it reflects the journey of a young child growing into an adult. Xiao Qingyang used keyboard symbols to form a smiling face, blending the imagery of 20 to declare “the Children's Fun Festival is 20 years old!”
