Taipei’s popular ramen shop Yarōu Tokyo Shoyu Ramen Ranmaru announced on July 1 via its official social media page that due to the introduction of invoicing, prices for some items will be raised effective immediately, with increases ranging approximately from NT$10 to NT$30, while the widely concerned No. 5 ramen will remain at its usual price of NT$99.

Located near Taipei Arena, Yarōu Tokyo Shoyu Ramen Ranmaru features “unlimited noodle refills” and is committed to serving authentic Japanese ramen, attracting a loyal customer base.In recent months, the surge in queue lengths has drawn attention from the tax authority, which guided the shop to start issuing invoices starting July 1.Regarding the price adjustments at Yarōu Tokyo Shoyu Ramen Ranmaru, netizens also commented below that they haven’t visited in a while due to the long queues, suggesting that the shop add more seating.
