Tigerair Taiwan Launches First Same-Day Flights from Taipei and Kaohsiung to Osaka; Kaohsiung City Gifts “Mayday” Souvenirs to Welcome Passengers

Tigerair Taiwan simultaneously launched two new routes—one from Taipei and one from Kaohsiung to Osaka—today (July 3). In addition to hosting an interactive photo event, the Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau also prepared local souvenirs for passengers flying into Taiwan.

During today’s inaugural flights, Tigerair Taiwan set up large photo frames for passengers and cabin crew to take commemorative group photos. The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau also prepared Mayday tote bags, notebooks, guidebooks, and other local souvenirs for passengers on the first flights.

Tigerair Taiwan CEO Kuan Hsu stated that the airline places great importance on the southern Taiwan market. By offering more direct flights and relatively affordable fares, the airline hopes to further boost travel between Taiwan and Japan. For Japanese travelers, visiting Taiwan will now be more flexible, with the option to enter and exit through either Taipei or Kaohsiung, enriching their travel experience.

Tigerair Taiwan also noted that to support the simultaneous launch of two new Japanese destinations, its fifth A320 aircraft joined the fleet on July 1, and the fifth batch of cabin crew reported for duty and began training on the same day.
