Every time I visit Macau, eating pork chop buns and Portuguese egg tarts has become a must-do, but now there's gradually one more thing—having buffet. It's because there are many hotels in Macau, and most of them offer high-quality buffets, creating healthy competition. For the same quality, buffets in Macau are about 20% cheaper than those in Hong Kong.
Previously, when I was in Macau, I accidentally discovered a quite cost-effective restaurant, and today I’m eager to share it with everyone—that’s Portofino at The Venetian. Actually, Portofino isn’t primarily a buffet restaurant, but they have a special lunch offer: for $130 + 10% service charge, you can eat unlimited four types of pizza and six types of pasta. Unlimited, yes, really unlimited. Normally, ordering these items individually would cost around $100, so isn’t it super, super, super worth it?

I didn’t miss out that day—I went with three friends and tried every type of pasta and pizza until we were stuffed. The portion sizes for pasta weren’t large, just a few bites, which suited my style of wanting to try a bit of everything. The pizza crusts were also very thin—the restaurant definitely isn’t the kind that tries to fill you up with just dough.
Without further ado, let’s check out the pictures. (I was too hungry and ate the pasta too fast, forgot to take photos, sorry.) The pasta was really delicious, authentic, with a Q弹 (chewy and springy) texture that you just can’t replicate at home.

That’s my introduction. I hope everyone gets the chance to try it in the future. I’ll definitely go back on my next trip to Macau.
