"Blue tears" phenomenon spotted in downtown Osaka, Japan!* Today (7th) marks Japan's Tanabata (Star Festival), and romantic celebrations are being held across the country. In the Tenmabashi area of Osaka, a "blue tears"-like spectacle lit up the night as fluorescent blue lights floated on the river, creating a magical atmosphere.

Japan's Tanabata differs from the Chinese version. Taiwanese student GM, who studies in Japan, explains that in Japan, not only couples and singles can make wishes—people also pray for themselves, their families, and friends. Wishes are written on colorful strips of paper and hung on small trees to receive blessings from the gods. Meanwhile, various romantic celebrations are held across Japan on Tanabata.

Osaka's "Heisei OSAKA Ten no Kawa Story" kicks off at night, featuring an LED light flow event along the river from Tenmabashi to Kitahama. Along the riverside, visitors can release their blue LED lights near spots like Nakanoshima Park and Hachikenyahama, accompanied by the soothing sounds of music drifting from the shore. The glowing blue river transforms into an urban Milky Way surrounded by concrete skyscrapers.

Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking sight of 50,000 LED lights swaying along the riverbanks, illuminating the previously dark night. These LED orbs, symbolizing "wishing stars," are believed to grant the wishes of singles or couples who entrust them to the lights. The evening river, adorned like a galaxy, creates a romantic and enchanting ambiance.
