The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood to be completed in 2016 with upgraded rides

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that the "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™" project is entering the final countdown to its opening, which will take place in spring 2016. The highlight will be an upgraded version of the "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™" 3D roller coaster, serving as the iconic attraction. With hyper-realistic movie scenes presented in 3D high definition, visitors will revisit classic locations from the magical world alongside Harry Potter, soaring above Hogwarts™ Castle and even taking part in a Quidditch match.

The "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™" 3D roller coaster is an innovative creation for the theme park. As the first North American upgraded version, it features a trackless ride system that breaks new ground, integrating meticulously crafted movie action scenes to deliver a breathtakingly realistic experience. Guests wear Quidditch-style 3D glasses and feel the sensation of spinning 360 degrees while speeding along the rapidly ascending track, reliving the journey once taken by Harry and his friends. The "Flight of the Hippogriff™" roller coaster within "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™" will also open to the public for the first time, becoming the first outdoor roller coaster attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Currently, visitors to Universal Studios Hollywood can get a head start by experiencing and purchasing authentic magical world merchandise such as wands and robes. At the entrance of the park, you can already see specialty shops offering exclusive souvenirs from "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™".
