A one-night stay costs NT$77,000 — Exclusive look inside Kenting’s 150-ping standalone villa

With summer vacation in full swing, Taiwan has seen a surge in holiday travel, and hotels in Kenting are often fully booked. A hotel operator in Kenting has created a standalone villa accommodation experience priced as high as NT$77,000 per night, featuring a private pool, a personal butler, complimentary alcoholic beverages, fruits, and other food items, along with a spacious courtyard. ETtoday EBC News specially visited to reveal the interior space that only a select few high-end guests can afford.

The Kenting Caesar Villa was newly built in 2012, located in the rear section of the hotel, offering high privacy — you have to walk through a spacious garden to reach it. There are only three villas in total, each accommodating up to four adults and two children. Kelly, PR for Kenting Caesar, said the villas target high-end travelers. Since 2012, the occupancy rate has averaged 70%, with most guests being from Taiwan, showing that many domestic travelers are still willing to splurge on vacation accommodations.

The villas are categorized based on natural elements such as mountain, water, wind. The “Water” theme features a natural wood color palette, using rich... (text cut off), with interiors designed in a serene style. The “Mountain” theme adopts a blend of modern and classic styles, with calm tones and soft lighting, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The “Wind” theme uses a modern minimalist approach, featuring open spaces and glass design elements.

Characteristically designed hotels are not uncommon in Taiwan, and those with spacious layouts certainly exist. The use of premium amenities — pillows, bedsheets, furniture — is also a basic feature of most five-star hotels.So why does Kenting Caesar’s villa cost NT$77,000 per night, yet still find takers? It’s not the hardware that’s the real draw, but the service.Kelly said the hotel has designed an exclusive butler team for villa guests — five staff members are dedicated to serving the needs of just three villas. Whether it’s booking restaurants, arranging transportation, planning itineraries, or even hosting a barbecue party in the courtyard, there are dedicated personnel for “in-home service.”

This reporter actually stayed in the “Mountain” room type at Kenting Caesar. The room has two floors of independent space, each with its own bathroom and living room. The dining area is located on the first floor, and the outdoor courtyard features a “daydream pavilion.” The approximately 7-meter-long and 3-meter-wide pool is equipped with stone tables and chairs. When the pool’s automatic water circulation system flows over the stone furnishings during the day, it feels like sitting by a stream in a mountain valley — a uniquely refreshing experience. The entire villa is enclosed by walls on all sides, offering super-high privacy — you could even swim nude without anyone seeing.

To illustrate the considerate service at Kenting Caesar Villa, one example stands out. All villa room types offer a morning breakfast delivery service. The reporter reserved a 7 a.m. breakfast delivery. By the time they finished getting ready and stepped out of their room at 7 a.m., the meal was already fully laid out on the table. The delivery staff made absolutely no noise, and the attention to detail to avoid disturbing guests’ rest was truly remarkable.

To provide guests with a top-tier comfortable experience, Kenting Caesar has also introduced the Angsana SPA (Banyan Tree SPA). All staff have undergone complete Banyan Tree SPA training, and a specialized manager from Thailand is stationed on-site to oversee and teach every step in detail. Angsana SPA Manager KT said that Angsana SPA emphasizes a wide selection and a youthful, vibrant vibe. Guests can choose their preferred essential oils and scents. No matter where in the world the experience is had, the techniques and details remain exactly the same — that’s the brand’s commitment.

Stepping into the Angsana SPA area at Kenting Caesar gives the illusion of being in Thailand. The massage techniques are meticulous and rhythmic. Notably, the palm warmth of the masseuses here feels different from those in other countries — it’s warmer and more solid. KT said Taiwanese masseuses do indeed have higher hand temperatures, which provides a relatively more comfortable sensory experience for guests.
