Exclusive / Japan’s Hugely Popular Line-Up Popcorn KuKuRuZa to Launch in Taiwan This Fall

Japan’s wildly popular line-up popcorn is making its way to Taiwan. With an increasing number of well-known Japanese shops entering the Taiwanese market recently, the super-popular Tokyo Omotesando line-up popcorn “KuKuRuZa Popcorn” is also planning to launch in Taiwan. It is expected to be introduced this fall, with the location set to be inside the Linkou Mitsui Outlet.

Originating from Seattle, USA, “KuKuRuZa Popcorn” is a super-popular popcorn shop that even draws lines of Japanese customers. In Tokyo’s Omotesando, it typically requires a wait of around 40 minutes to an hour just to get some. The shop has currently developed dozens of popcorn flavors, available in different sizes and packaging. They also offer tastings in-store. With its colorful appearance and unique flavors, it gained high popularity and attention shortly after arriving in Japan. There are currently four “KuKuRuZa Popcorn” locations in Japan: one in Omotesando and the other three all situated within Mitsui Outlet Parks operated by the Mitsui Fudosan Group.

Plans are underway to expand to Taiwan this (2015) fall. Tseng Lingling, marketing manager of Mitsui Outlet, stated that the upcoming outlet will introduce several Japanese restaurants and brands not yet seen in Taiwan, and “KuKuRuZa Popcorn” will also come to Taiwan as part of this expansion.
