Marvel at the vast Arctic Ocean! Norway’s polar circle is home to the world’s largest sauna, which can accommodate 100 people!

Traditional saunas can hold only seven or eight people at most, but the “world’s largest sauna,” officially opened in the Arctic Circle, can welcome 100 people at the same time. It is part of the SALT cultural project and is located on the island of Sandhornøya in Norway’s Arctic Circle.

According to the British newspaper The Independent,this sauna is situated on a secluded and remote beach where you can gaze at the sea and the boundless Arctic Ocean. The wild landscapes of the island can be enjoyed through glass panels, making it especially suitable for travelers who enjoy solitude.

In addition to the sauna, there is also a range of cultural activities to participate in. The circular theater inside offers ambient music performances, lectures, and shows, while the overall design was inspired by Norway’s traditional fish racks. There is also a gallery, a live performance hall, and accommodation rooms.

The sauna is open until September 2015 and also accepts bookings for private events.
