The Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism announced on the afternoon of the 14th that due to the impact of Typhoon Soudelor and recent heavy rains, Dadaocheng Wharf has accumulated a large amount of silt and the site hasn’t been cleared in time. Therefore, the event has been postponed, and the new date has not yet been determined.

Have you figured out how to spend your Qixi Festival yet? The 2015 Dadaocheng Music Valentine’s Day will grandly take place on August 15 at Piers 3 to 5 of Dadaocheng Wharf in Yanping Riverside Park. In addition to moon worshiping, receiving lucky bags, and getting various small gifts, there will also be an evening concert of love songs and a spectacular fireworks display.
This year’s Dadaocheng Music Valentine’s Day will start seeing the arrival of light food and charity booths around Pier 3 from 3:00 p.m. on the 15th; near Pier 4, there will be YOYO performances, DJ shows by Good DJ, love song performances, and symphony orchestra stage acts; at Pier 5, there will be peripheral activities and interactive booths related to the Music Valentine’s Day. The highlight of the event — the fireworks show — can be viewed along the shore from Piers 3 to 5 and will be launched at 8:30 p.m., lasting for 10 minutes.
