Slide down from the 9th floor！Hotel’s “giant colorful slide” attracts families with kids

To cash in on the summer family travel boom, one hotel has rolled out a “giant slide” to draw guests！Located in downtown Yilan, Lancheng Crystal Hotel recently set up a colorful slide called “Fanduqi Rainbow,” which lets guests slide from the 9th floor down into a ball pit on the 8th floor, keeping families and their little ones entertained.

This summer, Lancheng Crystal Hotel expanded its themed floor offerings. The original “Fanduqi Castle” themed floor on the 8th floor has been extended to the 9th floor, featuring its newest attraction — an aerial spinning colorful slide with transparent sections that twist down from the 9th floor to a ball pit inside Fanduqi Castle on the 8th. The 8th floor’s theme showcases hand-painted murals of global street scenes, while the 9th floor transforms into a cinematic world, designed to resemble movie sets.

Lancheng Crystal Hotel stated that guests can opt to stay on this floor for an additional charge of NT$1,650. Each room includes a Lancheng Buffet breakfast, kids’ amenities, an in-room tent, and an electric toy car. Guests can even “drive” mini sports cars along hallway corridors designed like racetracks. Additionally, this year a large pirate ship over five meters long has been stationed by the outdoor pool to enhance water play fun. With these new facilities, the hotel expects summer occupancy rates to rise by around 20%.
