Taichung not only has endless delicious food, but sometimes it also offers great value for money. Take this place, “Hanxiang Korean Cuisine,” for example. It specializes in Korean dishes, and the highlight is that they offer over fifty different side dishes—complimentary and all-you-can-eat. Each person only needs to meet a minimum spend of NT$170 plus 10% service charge to enjoy the meal. Their menu selection is quite extensive, and the portion sizes are quite generous. Especially the Korean black noodles, which are Dakou’s favorite. Next, let’s take a look at what delicious treats “Hanxiang Korean Cuisine” has in store!

Located on the second floor of a building in the bustling area of Taichung City, this place is easy to find. The huge seafood pancake is a must-order dish. The restaurant environment is clean and tidy, and parking in front of the entrance is quite convenient.

Since it’s usually quite crowded during mealtimes, Dakou specifically visited around lunchtime when it wasn’t too busy, making it perfect for a relaxing meal to fully enjoy the food!

The menu offers a wide range of choices, including claypot dishes (stone pot or iron pot), economy set meals, noodles, hot pots, soups, pancakes, stir-fries, cold dishes, and drinks. Dishes that are spicy are marked with a small chili icon, which is very considerate. Since complimentary side dishes are included, the minimum spend per person is NT$170 plus 10%, meaning almost everyone will order at least one main dish.

The side dishes here are of high quality, and they’re served in a traditional style. As soon as you sit down, you’ll be greeted with a big plate of banchan, which seems to go on forever—it looks super impressive.

Whether you’re into spicy kimchi, pickled radish, or marinated dishes, or even some light vegetable sides and seafood options, this place has it all.

There are also many vegetarian-friendly options available for selection, ensuring there's something for every diner to choose from.

The cold dishes are especially popular among customers. Dakou prepared quite a few of them and found them very refreshing.

First up is the Korean Black Noodles (NT$170). These are made with a specially prepared black bean sauce, mixed with noodles, onions, shredded cucumber, egg strips, potatoes, and other ingredients—essentially the Korean version of jjajangmyeon (Korean black bean noodles)! A bowl of seaweed soup is served on the side.

After mixing everything together, the thick, savory sauce coats the noodles beautifully. The bowl is quite deep, giving off a rustic charm.

The chewy noodles have a great texture, and when paired with the toppings and rich sauce, they’re incredibly aromatic. The mild sweet and salty flavor makes it super appetizing—you just can’t stop eating. But the portion size is quite big—even girls might find it too much for one sitting!

Next is the Seafood Pancake (NT$190), which amazed us as soon as it arrived because of its huge portion!

The pancake batter is also surprisingly thick—it looks to be about 1–1.5 cm thick, and you’ll definitely feel full after eating it.

The thickness makes each bite substantial without being too heavy.

The seafood pancake comes sizzling hot. The chef carefully cuts it into pieces with scissors. Each bite has a nice chewy texture, along with toppings like thick batter, squid, shrimp, and vegetables. The sweet and salty flavor is super satisfying in one bite.

Pairing it with kimchi adds a nice crunch with a hint of sour spiciness, which also helps cut through the richness—making you want to eat more and more!

After enjoying these dishes, we still had a lot left over. Seriously, the portion sizes here are almost too big to finish. Next time, we should bring more people to take on the challenge!

Although the menu options are diverse, the presentation isn’t overly complicated. Today’s stone pot and pancake combo turned out to be a great choice. It was both satisfying and not too heavy—definitely a good pick.

The menu at “Hanxiang Korean Cuisine” has a lot of choices. Whether you’re in the mood for rice dishes, soups, hot pots, Korean BBQ, or pancakes, you’ll find whatever you’re craving. With over fifty kinds of side dishes, your eyes might pop at the selection. Just grab whatever looks good—just don’t waste food, okay? On a hot summer day, enjoy a bowl of Korean black noodles paired with refreshing side dishes all-you-can-eat, and your appetite is sure to be fired up. You’ll leave feeling full and completely satisfied!
