Pingtung Cycling Tourism Season: 6 Great Routes to Easily Explore Little Liuqiu and Sample Diverse Cuisines

In recent years, more and more people have chosen cycling as a way to exercise and travel around the island, making bike touring one of the hottest travel trends. The Pingtung County Government launched the Cycling Tourism Season on July 31, featuring six cycling routes including the Pingtung City Food & Culture Tour and a 2-day Little Liuqiu Island Loop, taking participants on a journey to enjoy food and scenery while pedaling.

The 2015 Cycling Tourism Season features 6 routes and 25 sessions. Details are as follows:

Fun in Northern Pingtung
Dates: 8/29 (Sat), 9/6 (Sun), 9/13 (Sun), 10/3 (Sat)
Itinerary: Pingtung Railway Station → Hongqi Organic Leisure Farm → Lunch / Taro | Kēiyīy → Xin Feng Bicycle Path Ride (approx. 10 km) → Return Trip
Price: NT$699 per person

Pingtung City Food & Culture Tour
Dates: 8/29 (Sat), 9/6 (Sun)
Itinerary: Pingtung Railway Station → Pingtung Cihfong Temple → Visit General’s House → A-Kao Local Culture Museum → Lunch - Shared Gourmet Experience → Pingtung Art Museum → Stroll in Zhongshan Park / Guided Tour of A-Kao City Gate → Pingtung Snack Treasure Hunt → Return Trip

For safety reasons, this event is only open to participants who can ride a bicycle independently.
