The “Summer in Taichung Shopping Carnival” Kicks Off in August   Spend NT$200 to Win a Car and Other Big Prizes

The “Summer in Taichung Shopping Carnival” will launch in August, with a total of 23 featured shops from various business districts across Taichung City gathering at Caotun Boulevard,where shoppers who spend NT$200 or more will have the chance to win a bicycle or an ASUS ZenFone smartphone through a scratch card draw, and those spending NT$600 can exchange for exquisite gifts.Singer Deng Fu-ru will also perform live at the event. In addition, throughout August, shoppers at designated stores in the business districts can enter to win the grand prize: a car.

Mayor Lin stated: “Taichung is your best choice!” Taichung is perfect for shopping and serves as an excellent destination that combines culture and tourism. To attract more visitors, it’s essential to first satisfy their taste buds. With a total of 23 distinctive business districts, the city government aims to connect them to create a collective marketing effect that promotes Taichung.

The Summer in Taichung Shopping Carnival will run for a full month, and since August is also summer vacation, the public can ride iBikes or take the free 10-kilometer bus service to visit the business districts. Aside from enjoying delicious food, they can also enter to win fantastic prizes—great food and great rewards await, ensuring visitor satisfaction. Everyone is welcome to come to Taichung for food, fun, and adventure.

Event Period: August 8 to August 31.
Event Details: Visitors can take a photo with the event’s signage at the business districts and upload it according to the guidelines to the official Facebook page to be eligible to win an ASUS tablet or an ASUS ZenFone smartphone.
