Japan’s must-visit drugstore “Matsumoto Kiyoshi” opens stores in Taiwan — shop the hottest cosmetics without leaving the country

The must-visit Japanese drugstore “Matsumoto Kiyoshi” is coming to Taiwan! On the 13th, Tair Lung Enterprise announced that it has signed a bilateral agreement with Matsumoto Kiyoshi, allowing Taiwanese people to shop there without traveling to Japan in the future.

There are countless drugstores in Japan, but when it comes to the one most familiar to Taiwanese, “Matsumoto Kiyoshi” is certainly at the top of the list. From various medications to Japan’s hottest cosmetic and skincare brands, you can find them all at Matsumoto Kiyoshi. With its numerous branches—currently totaling 1,555 stores across Japan, including “White Matsumoto Kiyoshi” stores specifically designed for foreign visitors—plus the added convenience of Chinese signage and Chinese-speaking staff as the number of Chinese travelers to Japan continues to rise, shopping at Matsumoto Kiyoshi has become much easier. It has thus become one of the must-visit drugstores for Taiwanese tourists traveling to Japan.

Tair Lung Enterprise has long introduced the Japanese lifestyle brand Tokyu Hands. Seeing the potential in the drugstore market, the company decided to bring Matsumoto Kiyoshi to Taiwan and officially signed the contract on the 13th. In the future, both parties will jointly invest in operating the Taiwan stores, though the official opening date and the location of the first store in Taiwan have yet to be confirmed.
