A fun and delicious new attraction in Taichung, not only offering the joy of hands-on creation but also a perfect spot for photos. Step into the Planet Factory and you’ll feel like you’re in a mini universe. Just follow the instructions provided, and you can create your own planet rice ball. There are reference planet recipes available on-site, so visitors can follow them to make Earth, Mars, Venus, and other themed rice balls. But you can also mix and match ingredients based on your personal taste to create unique planet rice balls!

To make your own planet rice ball, first pick up a test tube rack. Then choose whether you want to eat it on the spot as a “Planet Rice Ice Cream,” or take it away as a “Planet Specimen.” There are four colors of rice balls to choose from. Insert a coin and spin the capsule machine to select your rice ball. Next, pick three toppings, then place everything into the planet-making machine. Wait 2–3 minutes, and you’ll have your very own custom planet rice ball.

Netizen “Little Elephant Loves to Go Out” mentioned that the cost to make one is 50 NT dollars, and visitors are advised to bring exact change. While you can exchange money at the B1 service desk, there’s a chance they might run out. It takes about 2–3 minutes to make one rice ball, but because the space is small, you may need to wait in line when it’s crowded.
