The most powerful typhoon on land, "Soudelor," wreaked havoc across Taiwan, causing considerable damage. To clear obstacles along the tracks and routes, TaiwanHigh Speed Rail announced this afternoon that all services will be suspended before 7 PM. After 7 PM, three southbound and three northbound trains per hour will operate as fully non-reserved seat services.

Due to the impact of Typhoon Soudelor, clearing obstacles along the routes and tracks is taking longer. To ensure operational safety, all trains before 7 PM have been suspended. From 7 PM to 10 PM, three fully non-reserved seat trains stopping at every station (except for business class cars) will depart hourly from Taipei Station southbound and Zuoying Station northbound. Departure times from terminal stations are on the hour, at 20 minutes past, and at 40 minutes past.

Additionally, to accommodate passengers in central Taiwan, one fully non-reserved seat train stopping at every station will depart from Taichung Station to Zuoying Station and another to Taipei Station at 7 PM. At 11 PM, a final fully non-reserved seat train stopping at every station will depart from Taipei Station to Taichung Station (southbound) and from Zuoying Station to Taichung Station (northbound). The high-speed rail company will also adjust and add more fully non-reserved seat trains flexibly based on passenger volume at each station.
