Alishan Forest Railway: Main line and Zhushan line suspended on August 10

Taiwan Railways Administration announced that due to ongoing repairs from damage caused by Typhoon Soudelor, the Alishan Forest Railway’s main line (Chiayi to Fenqihu) and Zhushan line will be suspended in the early morning of the 10th. Passengers who have purchased tickets and need to request a refund may do so within 15 days from the date of travel (not limited to the day of travel) by presenting the original ticket at any Alishan Forest Railway station ticket window for a full refund, with no refund handling fee charged (for round-trip tickets, the return portion will be refunded at half of the round-trip fare). For other refund-related inquiries, you may call TRA during office hours.
