Spending nearly NT$900 for a three-hour all-you-can-eat meal isn’t exactly cheap in Taiwan, but when you can dine at eight different restaurants and enjoy nearly 500 dishes, it’s an absolute “bargain”! A food street in Osaka’s Umeda Chayamachi district (Chayamachi Yokocho) has recently launched a “Drink & Dine All-You-Can” event, where you can eat to your heart’s content at any of the eight participating shops for three hours. The options include shabu-shabu, skewers, robatayaki, yakiniku, vegetables and more. The fee is just ¥3,500 (less than NT$900), which is an incredible deal.
Information on the eight shops is as follows:
1. Japanese Izakaya “Mameichi”:An izakaya that can accommodate 80 guests and offers 100 different food items.
2. Shabu-shabu Restaurant “Shabu Chaya”:Offers premium beef and pork with 50 different dishes available and seats for 40 people.
3. Robatayaki and Hot Pot Restaurant “Zenrakumon”:Serves fresh fish and shellfish purchased daily from various parts of Japan, grilled over charcoal.
4. Charcoal-grilled Yakiniku “Ubebko-ya”:Offers all-you-can-eat mouthwatering Japanese black wagyu charcoal-grilled yakiniku.
5. Miyama Cafe:Offers all-you-can-eat vegetables with 20 varieties – perfect if you’re tired of meat.
6. Bistro Otto:Offers 70 different items of French and Italian cuisine, along with wine and desserts.
7. GABU (ガブ):Staffed by cheerful and talkative bartenders, this is also a great spot for drinks.
8. Skewer Shop “Kushikatsu Ichi”:Skewers are one of Osaka’s famous snacks, and this shop offers 40 different varieties.
