A Popular Parent-Child Restaurant in Tainan — Little Ones’ Favorite Space Shuttles and Cars on the Menu

Bringing kids to Tainan? If they’re not into historical sites or the city’s old-style cafes, and lining up for local street food with toddlers isn’t ideal, then a parent-child restaurant is definitely the best choice. For us, Dili Lechu Parent-Child Restaurant has been nothing short of a blessing. Unlike most parent-child eateries that focus only on space but neglect the food, this place offers a wide variety of delicious meals that really impressed us!! It’s a place where kids can play freely while parents can chat, dine, and enjoy a treat~~ haha, our little Bagel even didn’t want to leave because he was having so much fun.

Located in Tainan’s Anping District, this three-story venue features a unique design theme and concept on each floor.

As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice something different — where are the usual play areas for kids?? Hmm, it turns out this parent-child restaurant is intentionally designed to offer a different kind of space. The first floor looks just like a regular restaurant, making it enjoyable for all diners, not just families.

Of course, being family-oriented, there are still some fun design elements added.

The high ceiling makes dining feel spacious without any sense of oppression, and the soft, warm green color scheme creates a very comfortable vibe~~

It really does feel like a regular restaurant.

But the second floor is a whole different story Up — at the back, you’ll find play facilities similar to those at McDonald’s.

Parents can sit here and enjoy their meal while keeping an eye on their kids playing inside.

This area is suitable for children aged around three to four and up, who can climb and explore freely~~

One particularly thoughtful feature is the excellent soundproofing, which effectively blocks out the noise from kids playing, allowing adults to dine in peace without disturbance~~~ haha!! Actually, it’s probably because the space is designed for slightly older kids, so they can have a blast on their own, and even if there’s an issue, they’ll come out and tell their parents nearby.

The walls are adorned with lots of toy cars — a hit with little boys.

We heard these are collectible block figurines, each one unique, covering the entire wall — truly showing that there’s beauty in numbers.

The considerate restaurant also takes into account the challenges parents face when dining out with kids, so essentials like cleaning spray, a nursing room, and a family restroom are all available. The nursing room even has power outlets for using electric breast pumps.

The third floor is designed for kids around one to two years old.

It’s a flat play area filled with blocks and toys, perfect for our little Hazelnut~~ though our little Bagel had even more fun than his sister.

It’s rare to see the siblings having this much fun together~~

Little Bagel spotted his favorite fire truck, with an ambulance standing by nearby~~ he couldn’t put it down and played with it for over half an hour, haha.

Hehe, the on-the-go Bagel is climbing over the wall now~~

The food here is also a highlight, and it’s genuinely tasty, breaking our preconceived notions about parent-child restaurant cuisine.

Well said — aside from serving delicious meals, it’s also a great spot for people to connect.

The younger sister got the car meal, and we tried some too — the flavors were quite good~~

This is the adult meal~~ just like a regular set lunch.

The rice is delicious, and the dried bonito flakes add an extra kick.

The main dish is the chin of a black scraper pomfret!!! Haha, this is actually something you’d expect at a proper restaurant — since most parent-child restaurants usually serve basic fare, this fresh and tasty pomfret chin was unexpectedly delicious, grilled to perfection.

Drinks

The Japanese tsukemen (dipping noodles) looks fantastic visually—just the plate itself has a great texture.

The toppings on the tsukemen are very rich, and the color scheme is beautifully arranged—it’s truly a feast for the eyes.

Add 39 NT dollars to upgrade the kids' meal to include a pudding. The little one’s eyes went wide at the sight of the cake and pudding in the brioche bread!!

Soft and delicious Boston cream pie~~ Both of them enjoyed their meals a lot.

This Dili Le Kitchen family restaurant is surprisingly delicious, breaking the common perception of what a family restaurant should be. Plus, the space is uniquely designed, making it suitable even for non-family diners. Parents with young children can especially enjoy the second and third floors, where kids can have fun while adults can chat happily~~~ Whether you’re a local from Tainan or visiting parents from out of town, this is a great place for a meal.
