"Swan" Typhoon Approaches Eastern Waters; Lina Ferry Announces Suspension from August 21–23

Typhoon "Swan," the 15th typhoon of the year, intensified into a moderate typhoon at 2:00 AM on the morning of August 18. With a clear steering flow, its speed has increased to 26 kilometers per hour. The Central Weather Bureau predicts that "Swan" will turn northward on Friday, August 21, moving along the eastern sea surface, and coastal areas of eastern Taiwan may experience rough seas and strong winds.

The impact of the typhoon is expected to meet the vessel suspension criteria. To ensure the safety of passengers and the ship,Donglian Shipping announced that all scheduled Lina Ferry services between Su'ao and Hualien from August 21 to 23, 2015, will be completely canceled. Passengers who have booked tickets can contact the ticketing office to change their travel dates or apply for a full refund without any cancellation fee.
