Taiwan’s First Low-Cost Carrier: V Air’s Inaugural Flight from Taipei to Busan Features Korean Hanbok Dress-Up Experience

V Air officially launched its Taoyuan–Busan route today (August 24) at 16:30. The inaugural flight ZV302 departed from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport with a 100% passenger load rate and is scheduled to arrive at Busan Gimhae Airport at 20:00 local time.

To celebrate the maiden voyage, V Air also lit up traditional Korean blue silk lanterns and transformed the waiting lounge into a Korean royal court. Passengers donned traditional Korean attire to take photos with V Air’s mascot, V Bear, and left colorful handprints on a commemorative wall as a memento of the inaugural flight. V Air General Manager Long Zhangqi stated that the launch of the Busan route makes V Air the first Taiwanese domestic low-cost carrier to fly into South Korea. He expressed strong confidence in the potential of this route and hopes to increase frequencies soon, offering travelers more flexibility in planning their trips.

V Air will operate the Taoyuan–Busan route initially once a week on Mondays and Fridays, using an Airbus A321 aircraft. Applications for additional flights are actively underway, and sales will open once the time slots are confirmed.
