The golden fields of golden needle flowers on Sixty Stone Mountain attract many visitors as a pilgrimage destination, but netizen Rebecca shared photos on the 3rd showing overflowing trash at the site, with garbage visible even next to full trash bins.

Wu Meifang, an agricultural section officer at Fuli Township Office, stated that the golden needle flower fields on Sixty Stone Mountain are generally free of charge. The county government subsidizes flower farmers to leave the flowers unharvested, creating this beautiful scenery. She also appealed to everyone to show public conscience and take their trash down the mountain.

Additionally, local Fuli resident Zhou Chu was interviewed. Mr. Zhou mentioned that this was the first time he had seen such a situation. At the start of this year’s flower season, he didn’t notice anything like this, and there had been no reports of it in previous years either. After all, this tourist spot has been well-known for a long time, and if there were trash issues, they wouldn’t just emerge now.

Although trash overflow is not a common occurrence, the public is still reminded that maintaining these floral landscapes is not easy. Be a considerate visitor and start with yourself.
