Sen Art Museum Opens: 5 Themed Zones Showcase Century-Old Woodcraft Aesthetics

The Sen Art Museum opened on the 6th, coinciding with the launch of the “Wood & Bamboo Creative Living Series Exhibition.” The exhibition features five major themes, namely“Wooden Living and Wood Aesthetics,” “Domestic Timber and MIT Smile Mark Wood & Bamboo Products,” “The Charm of Woodcraft,” “New Discoveries in Wood & Bamboo Products,” and “Sustainable Development in the Timber Industry,”showcasing the historical charm of wood & bamboo crafts and the century-old forestry industry.

The Sen Art Museum is located in the Taiping Mountain Forestry Park. Originally, it served as housing and measuring sheds for loggers during the logging era. The building features a simple Japanese-style truss structure, which had suffered structural damage from termite infestation. To prevent further deterioration, the Luodong Forest District Office renovated and revitalized the building, giving it a completely renewed look.

There are a total of six exhibition halls within the Taiping Mountain Forestry Park, namelythe Forest Products Hall, Forest Life Hall, Forest Beauty Hall, Forest Fun Hall, Bamboo Exploration Hall, and Sen Art Museum.The Sen Art Museum is one of them. In addition to the exhibition halls, the park also features a rich ecological area and facilities related to trains, such as locomotives. With the construction of the Luodong Forest Railway, the efficiency of timber transportation improved significantly, boosting the local forestry industry chain and fostering Luodong’s diverse cultural development.
