Ichigen Ramen, which uses only shrimp heads for its broth, launched a trial sale today (the 9th). A queue formed before opening, stretching over 300 meters by noon, and the sweet shrimp broth sold out before 5 PM, ending the first day of the trial.
To celebrate Ichigen Ramen’s launch in Taiwan, from September 9 to September 18, customers can enjoy ramen at half price simply by showing any type of promotional image. The ramen broth is made by simmering the heads of sweet shrimp, giving it a rich and sweet flavor that differs greatly from typical pork bone broth. On average, 60 kilograms of shrimp heads (enough for about 600 bowls of ramen) are used per day. Aside from the broth, Ichigen Ramen also features two other distinctive elements: shrimp powder and crispy noodles, adding layers of flavor and texture.
