In the hustle and bustle of the city on regular days, life pressures tend to be relatively high. Haven’t you had the chance to go out and relax in a while? If you want to relieve the stress in your heart, then head into the forest to refresh your mood！

The 8th Huisun Wooden Culture Festival (September 19–27), organized by the Experimental Forest Management Office of National Chung Hsing University, encourages the public to explore the forest. During the festival, discounted admission is only NT$100. In support of energy conservation and carbon reduction, cycling into the park costs just NT$10. Additionally, hot and cold beverages at Huisun Xingda Coffee are 20% off, and coffee beans are 15% off.

This year’s Wooden Culture Festival has specially invited the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to curate the "Two Wishes" Wood Art Life Creative Exhibition. The exhibition space features 31 craft-life aesthetic creations meticulously planned and produced by a team led by renowned craft artists Chen Maohui and Huang Junjie. The works mainly convey the concept of “two new vessels merging into one creative spirit,” with 16 students constructing their dreams in wooden craftsmanship. To enhance parent-child interaction, a newly planned Playful Toys Gallery has been introduced, featuring over 200 types of traditional toys—including puzzles, stacking boards, building blocks, assembling games, strategy games, launching toys, and more. These combine fun, education, culture, and a rich variety of elements to take you on a journey back to childhood memories. The gallery also includes a light snack and souvenir center, showcasing specialty products from the Huisun Forest.

During the Wooden Culture Festival holidays, there are also hands-on activities such as the Wood Art Life Creative Exhibition, Playful Toys Exhibition, large outdoor wooden sculpture installations, a local agricultural products carnival, and forest concerts: featuring performances by local indigenous dance groups, as well as opportunities to sing karaoke with you… The program is lively, exciting, and full of highlights. There will also be challenge games on-site, where visitors can enjoy the fun of wooden culture through game cards. Those who successfully complete the challenges will receive a commemorative gift carefully prepared by the forest (limited quantity, so don’t miss out). In addition, the Changlong Paper Factory, which is committed to environmental protection, has designed the “Second Forest Experience Hall” on the R floor of the Research and Learning Center, as well as the “Environmental Big Questions” challenge activity. These aim to help the public better understand the importance of resource utilization and natural ecology through exhibitions and environmental quizzes, thereby conveying the significance of cherishing forests and resources, and awakening the public's awareness of protecting nature and the Earth.
