Kaohsiung’s tourism ambassador “Kaohsiung Bear HERO” posted on the “Kaohsiung Bear” Facebook page on the 13th that he visited Nara and Osaka in Japan on the 13th and 14th to look for the Takeshi Kaneshiro deer (sika deer): “Run run, I’m out of deer crackers~” Along the way, he also rode a “handsome guy” rickshaw, made his way to Todai-ji Temple, and promoted “Welcome to Kaohsiung to find Kaohsiung Bear”, saying the effect seemed quite good.

During the trip, he also took a ride on a handsome guy’s rickshaw, made a detour to Todai-ji Temple, and quickly popped by Osaka Castle’s keep and Tempozan Ferris Wheel. Kaohsiung Bear said every attraction was doing its best to welcome everyone to visit Kaohsiung, and hoped that everyone would love Kaohsiung and fall for Kaohsiung Bear. He ended by saying: “Looking forward to meeting you again in Osaka, Japan, sayōnara (bowing, bye-bye).”

In fact, Kaohsiung Bear’s two-day pop-up appearances in Osaka, Japan, were actually part of a campaign to promote Kaohsiung tourism. Holding a “Welcome to Kaohsiung” promotional sign, he visited crowded areas in Osaka, including Tennoji Zoo, Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, Nara Park, Osaka Castle, and Tempozan Ferris Wheel. Everywhere he went, he drew crowds of Japanese people eager to take photos with him, shouting “kawaii ne,” melting hearts all over Osaka.

This journey brought Kaohsiung Bear many rewarding experiences. He hopes that each tourism ambassador trip will allow him to learn diverse international tourism marketing methods, raise Kaohsiung’s profile, and fulfill his duty as Kaohsiung’s tourism ambassador.
