Taiwan Railways and Keikyu Electric Railway join forces to create the "Taiwan-Japan Railway Tourism Friendship Gallery"

 ▲Starting from the 18th, the west corridor of Taipei Main Station will feature three-dimensional models of popular Keikyu Electric Railway destinations such as Haneda Airport Terminal, central Tokyo, Senso-ji Temple, and the Tokyo Skytree.

Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) and Japan’s Keikyu Electric Railway have once again collaborated to promote railway tourism marketing. Since establishing their friendly railway partnership, in addition to TRA bento boxes being marketed and sold in Japan, TRA has also visited Japan to observe Keikyu’s dispatch operations. On the afternoon of the 18th, TRA Director-General Chu Yung-hui personally led staff to welcome Keikyu Electric Railway President Harada Kazuyuki from Japan. The two jointly presided overthe "Taiwan-Japan Railway Tourism Friendship Gallery"unveiling ceremony.

At the start of the event, the Taiwan Railways Administration invited a dragon and lion dance troupe with distinctive Taiwanese characteristics to perform a "Prosperity Brought by Lions" show, wishing for increasingly close exchanges between the two sides. This was followed by a speech from the head of the Taiwan Railways Administration, who expressed hope that through the exhibition in the Friendship Gallery at Taipei Main Station, travelers would be able to appreciate the warm and lively side of Keikyu Electric Railway. Mr. Kazuyuki Harada, President of Keikyu Electric Railway, stated that the display boards incorporate Japanese characteristics and present key attractions along the Keikyu line in a manga style, along with realistic three-dimensional models. He hopes that passengers, upon seeing the displays, will be able to feel the beautiful scenery surrounding Keikyu Electric Railway.

Starting today,passengers simply need to walk through the west corridor of Taipei Main Station to view the manga-style display boards designed by Keikyu Electric Railway. With the storyline set in a “Friendship Chapter,” the boards depict travelers from Taiwan and Japan meeting and forming friendly bonds, symbolizing the amicable relations between the two sides.. In addition, the “Keikyu Electric Railway Line 3D Model Exhibition” will also be on display, featuring realistic models of key attractions along the Keikyu line such as the Yokohama area, Haneda Airport terminals, central Tokyo, Senso-ji Temple, and the Tokyo Skytree.
