The Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner, and you still haven’t decided where to admire the moon? The Wushantou Reservoir Scenic Area in Tainan might be a great choice for you. With its combination of mountains and water, the open space in the scenic area is free from light pollution, making the Mid-Autumn moon even more stunning. Every year on Mid-Autumn night, the area attracts many visitors who linger there and enjoy themselves, making it also an ideal spot for a romantic date.

The best spot for moon viewing during the Mid-Autumn Festival isthe Wushantou Reservoir Dam. From the top of the dam, you can gaze across the reservoir and look up to see the large, round moon hanging high in the night sky. Such natural beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains is truly pleasing to the eye, and there is also a barbecue area available for visitors to enjoy.

In addition to its naturally beautiful scenery, the park offers a variety of recreational facilities. Visitors can explore the Yasuaki Yota Memorial Park and admire the Japanese-style garden architecture. Visiting the Water Park, which features a children’s water play area, is also a great option. There, you’ll find water play equipment for kids and animal-shaped water slides — perfect for family outings. People can also visit the multi-purpose swimming pool to enjoy a spa and relax.
