Flights to Seoul from NT$3,000, San Francisco from NT$9,800 – Travel Fair Airfare Deals Guide

Taiwan’s biggest travel event of the year, the “ITF Taipei International Travel Fair,” will be held from October 27 to 30. To cater to the booming domestic demand for independent travel, both domestic and international airlines are offering discounted airfares. Short-haul flights departing from Taipei to destinations such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Seoul start as low as NT$3,000, while round-trip long-haul routes to Europe and America are available for under NT$10,000 (excluding tax), helping travelers planning trips for the end of this year and next year save big.

EVA Air

EVA Air’s online travel fair kicks off early on September 27 at 00:00, featuring over 60 flight destinations with limited-time special offers. These include Taipei–Hong Kong from NT$3,103, Taipei–Seoul from NT$3,250, Taipei–Tokyo from NT$7,832, Taipei–Paris from NT$19,118, and Taipei–San Francisco from NT$20,800 (all excluding tax), with discounts of up to 44% off the original price.

China Airlines

China Airlines’ online travel fair offers Taipei–Okinawa from NT$3,888, Taipei–Seoul and Busan from NT$4,088; popular winter and autumn routes such as Taipei–Brisbane, Australia, start from NT$11,880 (excluding tax) for a round trip. The newly launched Taipei–London route, set to begin on December 1, starts from NT$16,910 (excluding tax). European destinations such as Vienna and Amsterdam are available for under NT$20,000 (excluding tax). In addition to the chance to win four business class tickets for long-haul and regional routes (two each), there will also be daily draws for one economy class round-trip ticket to London and one to Sydney.

TransAsia Airways

TransAsia will hold its online travel fair from October 20 to 31. The airline, which operates exclusive routes to Japan, offers flights starting from NT$7,000 (excluding tax), Vietnam’s Da Nang from NT$6,000, and Angkor Wat from NT$8,000 (all excluding tax). There are also domestic flight discounts of up to 31% off, and customers who purchase tickets on-site can enter a lucky draw for domestic and international flights.

Hong Kong Airlines

Following the launch of its Vancouver route, Hong Kong Airlines will open its Los Angeles route on December 18. It will then launch direct flights to San Francisco starting March 25, 2018. During this travel fair, Hong Kong Airlines will officially begin selling direct flights from Hong Kong to San Francisco, operated by the A350. From now until November 6, in line with the Los Angeles route, round-trip tickets will be offered for NT$9,800 (excluding tax).

Air Canada

Air Canada, which launched direct flights from Taipei to Vancouver in June, is participating in the travel fair for the first time. During the event, the airline’s official website will offer some of the best-value North American airfares: 5% off for solo travelers, 10% off for two people traveling together, and 15% off for three or more. Economy class round-trip tickets start from NT$12,749 (excluding tax)! Purchasing a ticket enters you into a draw to win a trip to the Mayday “Life Tour” concert in Canada, sponsored by Air Canada.

Japan Airlines

During the travel fair, Japan Airlines is offering Taipei–Tokyo/Osaka economy class round-trip tickets from NT$8,500 (excluding tax), and Taipei–Osaka (departing midday, returning early) / Nagoya economy class round-trip tickets from NT$6,666 (excluding tax). Travel dates are from November 28 to March 22, 2018 (not applicable during Chinese New Year).

ANA All Nippon Airways

When purchasing round-trip tickets from Taiwan to Japan or North America on the official Taiwan website using the CTBC ANA co-branded card, customers can enjoy exclusive discounts: 5% off business class on Japan routes, NT$600 off economy class, and 5% off all cabin classes on ANA-operated North American routes.

NokScoot (Cool Bird Air)

NokScoot will launch four promotional campaigns and activities for “Taipei–Bangkok flights” during the travel fair. These include one-way economy class Taipei–Bangkok tickets for NT$1,777 (including tax), Bangkok hotel and tour packages for two people from NT$5,999, and Taipei–Bangkok tickets for NT$1,950 (including tax) when purchased on the official website. Additionally, 15 free Taipei–Bangkok tickets and 60 NT$700 discount vouchers will be given away during the fair.
