Netizen Wii pointed out that he had originally booked a 07:10 EVA Air flight from Hong Kong back to Taiwan, but from the evening of the 28th until this morning, over 300 EVA Air passengers at Hong Kong Airport were unable to board their flights due to cancellations and were waiting for standby options. Compared to other airlines that added extra flights, EVA Air only arranged passenger boarding through standby, with just over 10 passengers able to board in the morning, leaving about 300 passengers waiting anxiously. This caused considerable dissatisfaction among the passengers on site.

EVA Air stated this afternoon that Typhoon Dujuan has had a significant impact,and has done its best to assist passengers in transferring to other airlines and upgrading flight aircraft sizes. EVA Air will also add an extra 777 flight at 03:00 on the 30th to do its utmost in helping passengers return to Taiwan smoothly.
